Thomas J. Bond, Jr., a member of the District of Columbia Society, served as Vice President General (Mid-Atlantic District) from 1993-1994. In honor of his service to the SAR, an award is presented to the State Society within the Mid-Atlantic District (Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia) that has achieved the greatest yearly increase (by percentage) in membership. The individual responsible for bringing in the largest number of new members within the winning State Society is also recognized.
The award is presented annually by the incumbent Mid-Atlantic District Vice President General at the yearly Conference Banquet.
